About the event

When women gather, magic happens. The Women's Medicine Circle is a space for learning about herbal medicine within a community of like minded individuals. We convene once a month to make herbal preparations, share herbal knowledge, socialize, and build relationships with plants and one another. Every month, I will share a new set of herbal skills and knowledge, and we will work together to create magical herbal concoctions.

This circle is for women who are herb curious and who are craving community. No skill or prior knowledge in herbalism is required, only your enthusiasm for learning about herbalism. All level of skill and knowledge is welcome, and we encourage you to share what you know. This is an opportunity to ask questions and have an open discussion on any topic of herbalism in an informal setting. Tea will be served.

March Session: Tree Medicine

Join us as we explore the potent tree medicine of highbush cranberry (crampbark) and willow. Willow's inner bark is best known for its analgesic properties to help with pain and inflammation.

Crampbark is a popular remedy for women of all ages, used for easing menstrual cramps as its name suggests, as well as an ally during menopause. Additionally, it is beneficial for spasmodic coughing, sore throats and muscles, and more.

Let's learn about the medicinal virtues of both plants as we create herbal tinctures and tea from these herbs together.

What to bring:

2 small jars

1 sharp knife for using on wood

We provide the rest of the materials.
