About the event

When women gather, magic happens. The Women's Herbalism Circle is a space for learning about herbal medicine within a community of like minded individuals. We convene once a month to make herbal preparations, share herbal knowledge, socialize, and build relationships with plants and one another. Every month, I will share a new set of herbal skills and knowledge, and we will work together to create magical herbal concoctions.

April Session: The Abundant Weeds of Spring

Spring is such an abundant time for nutritious, edible greens. They come at a time of year where our bodies crave this rich, fresh nourishment after a long winter. Learn as we identify the most common and edible spring weeds in this bioregion. We will discuss ways to use them in herbalism and food, and we will be making a nutritious herbal vinegar. You can expect herbs such as nettle, dandelion, garlic mustard, violet, and more.

What to bring:

1 small jar (~200mL)

A bag to bring any extra herbs home.

We provide the rest of the materials.

These sessions are offered on a sliding scale basis.

Sliding scale pricing offers a service or product with multiple price points. These price points are set to make a product or service more accessible, and to help reduce financial barriers for people with different levels of income. People can chose the price point that best reflects their ability pay for a product or service, based on their individual circumstances.

In the effort to make learning about herbalism accessible, I invite you to pay one of the reduced fees for my offerings, if paying the full price would cause you to be less secure in your ability to meet your basic food, health, housing or essential transport needs. Ticket sales go towards funding the event space rental and materials.
